Old West Cowboy Days Parade
June 27, 2009
That’s right, it’s time for the annual Old West Cowboy Days and we are gearing up for the Cattle Drive and Parade down Main Street in downtown Ottawa. Enclosed find an entry form to fill out and return if you are interested in participating this year.
This year it will be an all animal or animal driven parade, no motors or engines.
The parade will start at City Park between 5th and 7th Streets downtown. Line up will be on Park Street down Hickory. You can park your trailers on Hickory if you wish. Please note a couple of requests listed on the form. The city has requested we keep the animals off the grass in the park and out of people’s yards. We would hate for them to make us move the parade. Also, we are asking you to sign in upon arriving. At that time you will be given a number so the announcer will know who you are. Arrival time is 8 – 9, Line up 9 – 9:30 and the parade will start at 10. Remember, what you put on your entry is what the announcer will say about you, so don’t just list your name. Also, if you want him to announce you, you need to return your form by June 20th.
Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions about the parade.
I will not assume you are coming
if you do not Pre-Register.
See you at the Parade
